Writers have confuse as when to use Being and Been. Both are probounce with the same way. It is important to know the differences and when to use them. But first let start with their similarities between the two.
They are both principle of verb "to be". This is why it renders students alot of hard times becauae they are dealing with the same action word.
Before that lets take a look to the principal differences, being is a present participle. Lo! all present participle ends with " -ing". For example; Walking, eating, running, havesting. While " been" is a past participle, some past participle ends with "ed" for instamt: learned, studied, cried;others are asymmetrical like; run , swum, chosen, spoken,wooden, waken.
Let see how it should be use.
Present participle:
"Being" is a passive voice , unresisting form of present continuous or progressive and past continuous or progressive. Let give an example on a sentence.
Passive form of present continuous or progressive voice :Greg was being taking his pills. John was being interviewed for the auto body position as we speak.We obviously comprehend that these action are in progres, present as the time we speak.
Passive form of past progress or continuous:
French course were being taking when I arrived. Bonanza were being given every day. The day I came john were being interviewed for auto body position. In these examples we see that the actions were in progress in a certain moments - when I arrived . In both continous tenses we use "being" in passive framework.
On past participle ,this can be used in passive voice. And in addition, as well in other tenses. Below are the examples of it uses :
Present perfect:
I have been to Abuja twice. I've never been late to school. I've been a mechanic for nine years.
Present perfect continuous:
I've been teaching Auto mechanical courses for over twenty years. They have been running for an hour. Yonah have been studying for six hours uninterrupted.
Past perfect:
Oxford college was a great place to study .I had never been with such interesting, Folks.
Past perfect continuous :
When I first came to Cardiff University, I had been studying English for five years. I had been looking for a different sorts of learning experience.
Passive form of the present perfect:
Several workers have been suspended. Students have been tought well. Many roads have been destroyed by the land slide.

Steven did very well on his task.The topic had been clearly explained.

Lastly, let's look on how each is pronounced. "Being" has two syllables- "be '' --"ing"
While "Been" has one syllable, sound as " Bin" in "recycle bin".
