Homemade Heat sink

Heat sink Homemade

A heat sink is an metal purposely design to damped down the excess heat of a circuit. It comprises long iron sheet compressed, distorted or shaped in order to minimise space and fit into the circuit. ICs are the most heat up components in PBC circuit because the (ICs) supply multi functionalities on the electronic circuit. However, in this post i will make a short illustrations on how to make a homemade high efficient heat disposers /heat sink using spoiled   .

Requirements:

spoiled Transformer  lamination Core

•  A driller
•  Mini sized erNut and bolt.

•  Hot glue

How to make One

Step1

Dismantle all lamination cores from old transformer. Compile together The Es OR EEs core shapes.

Step2

Apply glue on all the parts and allow to dry and stick together.

Use driller to drill through a nut hole make sure it situated in the centre of all lamination cores. Reapply hot glue if notice any unglue parts.

Step 3

Use Nut and bolt to screw ICs to heat sink . Note, this method is mostly effective especially on Mosfets or Regulators ICs. For Mini ICs,cut small piece of lamination core and design it according to the shape of the ICs with hook pins which will allow you  to hook it with the PBC board Just like that of Smart phone panel heat sink .

Short Video clip on how to construct a heat sink with Transformer lamination Core.

Depending on your choise you want. You can make alot of heatsink with old transformer Lamination cores. Do try one yourself thus, you will not need to purchase Heat sink  ever again.
Follow up my new posts/updates i will make more post on Engineering, DIY similar to HEAT SINK Homemade.
I live you with peace.
